This is how you keep your home in the best condition
Cleaning your apartment is important to keep in mind.
Here we give tips on how to handle different materials.
Walls
Painted walls: Clean with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
Plastic layer wallpaper: Gently wipe with a damp cloth.
Paper Wallpaper: Dust Dryer.
Floor
Parquet floor: Clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry immediately.
Plastic mats: Clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry immediately.
Linoleum mats: Clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry immediately. Polish is used only when the floor begins to wear.
Fridge and freezer
Defrost regularly. Let the ice thaw, do not chop it. This gives a more even temperature and saves energy.
Bathroom
The toilet and other crockery are cleaned with a soft brush and mild detergent. Clean the water trap and floor well at regular intervals.
(Do not allow holes in the bathroom walls, as they have a sealing layer to prevent moisture.)
Sink
In the sink, stop and bad smell are usually due to grease, food debris and small objects getting stuck. Always use a strainer and preferably an extra strainer if you are cleaning fish, for example. Pour boiling water into her occasionally so fat collections dissolve. If you often cook food with oil, you should do this about once a week. If you get a stop, you can also use a sink cleaner or if it does not help a cleaning coil that with its small hook gets far down in the pipes. If you still do not get rid of what is stuck, open the water trap and clean.
Ventilation
The fan and ventilation should be cleaned at regular intervals by the tenant, preferably twice a year.
To clean the ventilation, you can easily rinse the filter with mild detergent and water. It is also possible to vacuum the filter.
This will reduce the contamination of other surfaces in the room.
The filter should be changed after 1-2 years and this is done by the landlord.
Stumps inform when it is time for change.
Stove and oven
Wipe grease stains away from cooker and oven as soon as possible. Wipe with a damp cloth.
Oven
Tips for efficient oven cleaning:
Mix 2 parts liquid soap with 1-part water and mix in a spray bottle. Spray the entire oven with the soap solution and the oven at 100-150 degrees. Leave to work for 15 minutes, then wipe clean with water and a cloth.
Cooker hood and kitchen filter
The kitchen fan has a tendency to quickly become neat and dirty in homes where food is often cooked. Clean the fan long before the grease drips on it, dripping grease, food and hot plates are not a good combination with bacteria and the fire risk! Take an extra look at your kitchen fan before cooking next time.
Start by turning off any. electricity and remove the kitchen filter / cabinet. Below are some tips on cleaning the filter and housing in the kitchen fan:
• Soak the filter in a bowl of hot water mixed with detergent, rinse or run the filter in the dishwasher afterwards. The case and the fan can be cleaned with the same mixture if it is stainless steel or plastic.
Most of today's carbon filters can be cleaned with hot water and detergent. However, make sure the filter is completely dry before installing it back in the kitchen fan. When cleaning the inside and outside of the fan - make sure not to spray detergent / detergent mixture directly on the surface, wipe the cloth and wipe dry instead. Running fluid can give marks.
The landlord makes sure to replace the kitchen filter and informs the tenant when the time comes.
